I though I'd share this graph with all of you as I think it shows a fundamental part about rendering and why we emphasize on having a solid CAD-model to our clients when rendering for final production images. The quality of a render is always in the details. While communicating with clients, the details in an image is what makes it look believable to them. Having seamlines in products, having a modelled interface and having all hardware that hold the product together makes the final product that much more realistic. That's why having details in your CAD-model before getting into rendering software sets the base for the rendering. Once the foundation is in place, we built on top of it by introducing materials to the model, creating compositions on set principles and adjusting the lighting to show off all the details that were made in the CAD-model. Although materials, composition and lighting definitely have a impact on the final deliverables, they can be tweaked endlessly to a point where there is very little Return On Investment. But the CAD-model will always remain the foundation of any rendering, that's why we always insist on putting in the necessary time at the CAD-stage. #productivity #onlineadvertising #graphicdesign #design #rendering #render #industrialdesign Comments are closed.
